Contactless payment system
How we pay for services on the Superhero Network is important to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Our system aims to do 100% contactless delivery with integrated contactless payment support via UPI.
Why contactless payment?
It eliminates the need of a customer coming in contact with a vendor during checkout.
Cash on delivery may expose the volunteer to a COVID-19 infection.
We chose UPI - Unified Payments Interface because of its:

The best case
Requests for services are placed by the user on the Super App for consumers.
Volunteers on the Superhero Network accept the request and obtain the essential resources.
Payment requests are made by the vendor to the user's UPI ID.
The user pays the vendor by accepting the payment request.
Volunteer on the Superhero Network delivers the item at the doorstep and leaves without meeting them.
UPI Method
Any consumer/vendor availing services via the Superhero Network should be registered for UPI developed by the National Payments Corporation of India. The registrant will receive the UPI ID which can further be used to send/receive funds real-time directly from the bank.
Registration
Anyone can obtain a UPI ID using any UPI Enabled Mobile Applications lIke BHIM Developed by NPCI or Google Pay. The registration involves only a simple step of verification of mobile number registered in your bank account. Once verified, register a PIN to enable transactions. Thereafter, only the registered PIN is used for each transaction.
Payment
Payments for services can be made in different ways. They are :-
Enter the UPI ID of the person/vendor to which payment has to be made.
Scan the UPI QR code of the recipient to initiate transaction.
Provide your UPI ID to the recipient so that he can request a payment using the same.
Feature Phones
UPI works with feature phones using the USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) functionality of your phone. You can dial *99# on any phone and it will give you access to use USSD and interact with simple and easy to follow menu options.

Implementations
All registrants must share their UPI ID during registration which can be used by the delivery agent or vendor to initiate the payment.
All delivery agents including food, medicine, grocery etc., can display the customer UPI ID or QR code with the vendor to request for a payment to the customer.
All commutation media like taxis and delivery trucks can initiate the request once the service has been booked/delivered.
Ideal scenarios
A delivery agent delivering the grocery to a home can request for payment using customer UPI ID when request has been made and is ready to deliver, avoiding contact at the time of delivery.
A taxi driver can secure himself in the front-seat and have a UPI ID QR sticker attached to the seat's headrest, which can be used by the passenger to make the payment without any contact.
A delivery agent collecting the medicines from medical stores can show the customer UPI ID which can then be used by the shop owner to initiate a payment request to the customer.
