Phase 2 - Plan Summary

In Phase 1, the idea was to build a system promptly to satisfy the primary requirements of the lower and middle-income group, fulfilling bare essentials like food & medicine delivery, an ambulance network for transporting the COVID affected and other intensive patients.

Since targeting this group was the primary objective, we ingeniously built the system so that people even with a basic feature phone could make a call to the centralised call centre for placing requests. This is really important as majority of the users will not have access to smartphones or internet facilities.

PHASE 2

1. SUPER APP

In phase 2 , we are targeting the above-average and high-income group.

Primary focus here is the development of a Super consumer mobile application to be used across all smartphones for availing facilities like grocery delivery, food delivery, transportation facilities, hotel/homestay booking etc.

The consumer can directly utilize these facilities from the app thereby cutting the dependency on on-call centres. We anticipate

Introduction of payment system in the app for the services in Super app. The app will be enabled with Contactless payment system as this income group can afford for the enabled services in the app. MORE ABOUT SUPERHERO APP

2. In this phase we will also execute scaling of the Superhero system up from Ernakulam district level to a Statewide setup. Monitoring and management in this stage will be directly from CMO. From here Nation wide scaling is recommended keeping a top to bottom approach. Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) will be prepared and shared with each state via Chief Ministers Office.

3. Issuance of COVID passes for Superhero Network volunteers can be done directly from Superhero app.

4. Distance tracking algorithms in the system for calculating fares for delivery volunteers which can be transferred as cash payments or credits.

5. A Bluetooth-based contact-tracing app to keep track of whether a smartphone's owner has come into contact with someone who later turns out to have been infected with Covid-19.
